![]() It said on Saturday morning that there might need to be blackouts and requested us to conserve energy as much as possible. With so many sources of energy offline, TEPCO may not have enough electricity to meet peak demand. Scare tactics aside, we are 200km away and the type of reactor that is in crisis isn't going to explode.īut the power plant shutdowns very may well affect us in another way. Even if there is meltdown in either reactor, it is unlikely to affect Tokyo dwellers with radiation. I have confidence that they will keep things under control. Reactor number three is experiencing a cooling system malfunction today as well, so the TEPCO folks are really hustling. ![]() Very likely, reactor number one will never be brought back online. TEPCO is handling it as professionally and safely as possible by evacuating 90,000 people in a 20 km radius of the the Fukushima 1 power plant, venting pressurized gas in controlled ways, and basically destroying reactor number one by pumping sea water and boric acid into the reactor to cool it and kill the reaction. Nobody wants a nuclear emergency due to an earthquake. That was a very good thing because Tokyo is served with nuclear, thermal and hydroelectric power. Amano enthusiasts or anyone looking for “beauty and stunning experience”can enjoy this new kind of exhibition. When the quake hit, most of the power plants that serve Tokyo went offline automatically. The photographs of the winning works in the International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest will be exhibited for the first time, and workshop and live talk show will take place. ![]() It also reproduces a 40-meter-long Nature Aquarium Florestas Submersas in Oceanário de Lisboa, Portugal through film. In addition, the exhibition will showcase Amano’ s ecological landscape photographs captured by large format cameras, such as the extra-large size photographic print of Primitive Japanese cedar trees in Sado island, Japan which was introduced in the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit held in July 2008, and the maximum of 8-meter-wide photographs. In this event, 11 Nature Aquarium tanks, including a newly created special aquarium called “Extensive Nature Aquatic Plants Wall” will go on display. ![]() Combining his unique view of nature and aquariums, this exhibition is, in other words, a “ living art exhibition”.
